Unable to send emails from GA3 - Server Times Out
It has come to our attention that some internet service providers, such as Orange or Sky are blocking a specific port number required for outgoing emails.
If you receive a time out error and are with Orange, Sky or any other provider (other than BT or Virgin) you may need to make the following small change in Garage Assistant :
- Goto Admin
- Goto Email Settings
- Change SMTP Server Port (in the lower left) from 25 to 587
- Ensure that SSL is set to On.
Email should now work as expected, if not, please ensure your firewall or any other software is allowing Garage Assistant / FileMaker Pro (network version) through your firewall.
