Importing Customers and Vehicles into GA4
You can import customers and Vehicles into GA4 by going to
Admin > Data > Customer & Vehicle Import
You can import just customers or customers and vehicles.
If you are importing both customers and vehicles, each line should have full customer information and relevant vehicle information.
If a customer has more than one vehicle, their info should be included alongside each vehicle. GA4 will recognise this and create one customer record as the owner of multiple vehicles.
Performing the Import
Click Import towards the top left, you will then be prompted to choose your CSV file.
Once selected you will be shown a list of fields on the left (your data) to align with fields on the right (GA4 data)
If your file has headings for the data, to the bottom left of the dialog, click on "Don't import first record (contains field names)".
Headings will allow matching up easier, otherwise you will have to align based on the data in the first few records.
Next, Drag the double up/down arrow to align the source and target fields.
Once selected you will be shown a list of fields on the left (your data) to align with fields on the right (GA4 data)

Next, Drag the double up/down arrow to align the source and target fields.
In the center of this is either a dash or an arrow.
- A right arrow means it will import the source into the target field.
- A dash means the source will be ignored and not imported.
Once aligned, click Import towards the bottom and it will bring the data into a temporary table for review. Note, at this point any duplicate customers will be crossed out, this is normal.
If it looks good and you are happy with the information it has brought in, you can then click on Finalise, to finish the import into GA4, or clear and try again if not correct.
